What’s the difference between Essentials and Advanced?
Essentials gives you searchable libraries (table, grid and folders), AJAX search and filters, any file type with previews, bulk import, and download counts. Advanced adds access control (password-protect or restrict documents), lead capture (require an email before download), built-in version control, and auto-expiring documents.
What access control is included?
Both versions can password-protect a library. The WordPress plugin also adds user and role-based restrictions - limit documents or categories to specific logged-in roles. If role-based control matters to you, the WordPress plugin is the better fit.
Is there a free trial?
The hosted version comes with a 14-day free trial. The WordPress plugin doesn’t have a trial, but it’s covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Can I use it on more than one site, or pay once?
On this site each plan covers one site or library, billed yearly. The WordPress plugin also offers multisite licenses and a lifetime (one-time payment) option on Barn2.com.
